Hi All,
obm-gekko-update v.1.26 is out!
These updates affects not only the obm-gekko (take-home virtual
servers) but the consortium maintained public servers as well (e.g
openbiomaps.org)
The 1.26 contains bug fixes, several small improvements and some larger
modifications and novelties (thanks to some new bigger projects which
joined recently to our community). All updates announced automatically
on the devel list (devel at lists.openbiomaps.org). The problems typically
discussed on the admin list (administrator at lists.openbiomaps.org). You
can send remarks, questions, bug reports to the help at openbiomaps.org
as well. Any feedback is welcome!
Some remarkable new features:
- True multi table support of the projects. However using multiple
tables was allowed from the beginning, now these tables started to be
more separated which allows creating more complex projects. E.g.
multidimensional table structure related with a a complex field
work.
- Users can store, repeat and share complex (SQL) queries. E.g. Create
daily reports of the project or on special subset of data. These
functions are available using R interface. See the documentation
of obm-r package for more details:
https://github.com/OpenBioMaps/obm.r
Some remarkable improvements:
- Access rights, Group access, Sensitive data handling
- Optional caching (default is memcached)
Best wishes,
Miki Bán
